Business & Education South Yorkshire (b&e) – The Entrepreneur Exchange

b&e has been established for 10 years and is one of the largest social interest and not for profit companies of its kind in the UK, working annually with approximately 8,000 employers and providing over 31,000 enterprise and work related learning experiences within the region.

As part of our aim to support business start ups and established businesses, The Entrepreneur Exchange was established in 2008 to encourage the culture of enterprise and entrepreneurship in the Sheffield & wider South Yorkshire/Humbs region.

Over 300 local business owners/entrepreneurs who have ‘been there, done that and are happy to share it’ make up the Entrepreneur Exchange, with the support of a team of Enterprise Relationship Managers at b&e. These entrepreneurs volunteer their time to share their expertise and know-how with both young people, adults and new businesses to inspire, motivate and mentor the next generation of businessmen and women.

The Entrepreneur Exchange also creates links to bring entrepreneurs together to network formally and informally, to help share personal experiences and assist each other, as part of encouraging growth and further prosperity in the area.

The Entrepreneur Exchange has to date supported over 200 established, new or recent start-up businesses and has also provided over 3000 opportunities for young people to learn about entrepreneurship, offering an all important first step, designed to boost enterprise in the region.
