The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust
For over 20 years The Prince’s Scottish Youth Business Trust (PSYBT) has been delivering a very practical solution for young people who want to start and grow a business but are unable to raise the finance from Banks.
In that time PSYBT has supported nearly 12,500 individuals to start over 10,200 businesses and provided over £36million in funding alongside a whole package of additional support tailored to the needs of each individual. The top 100 PSYBT supported businesses have a combined turnover of £124million and employ a combined total of 1300 people.
The support which PSYBT delivers combines appropriate micro-loans and grants with a range of wrap-around business support services including training, coaching and on-going mentoring. The PSYBT model is unique and delivery is made possible by a mix of public and private sector funders, local partnerships with economic development agencies and almost 800 volunteers from the Scottish business community.
PSYBT leads the way in the support of enterprising young people in Scotland who want to start-up and grow their own business. If you are aged 16-30 and either considering starting a business or already in business please visit www.psybt.org.uk and learn more about our package of assistance and about our mentoring service.
