A good mentoring organisation identifies changes in the market and responds to them by making suitable refinements and developments to the mentoring service being provided.
Examples of best practice include:
- Ensure organisation is fully aware of and responsive to national and local business issues and changes in the economic environment/local market
- Work with local partners to ensure service offer is complementary to and additional to other local services
- Regular comms and/or events for mentors to cascade information re the current market
- Develop a strategic and sustainable business model that is under regular review and responsive to changes in the market
- Use all of the resources available to gather feedback on the current business environment/ market and use to improve/refine/develop service offer in order to remain competitive and sustainable
